Overview
The Optoma PK32 is a compact 4K UHD LED projector from the Photon Life series, built for movies, streaming and gaming in the living room rather than the boardroom. Auto Focus and Auto Keystone let it be set down almost anywhere and switched straight on without a manual setup process.
The Optoma PK32 pairs native 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution with an RGB 4LED light source rated for up to 30,000 hours in Eco mode, so there’s no lamp to replace over the projector’s working life. Brightness is rated at 2,000 HK Lumens, and a contrast ratio of 250,000:1 combines with 125% Rec.709 and 95% DCI-P3 colour coverage plus HDR10 support for vivid, well-balanced images. A 1.127:1–1.46:1 throw ratio lets it fill screens from 60″ to 150″ diagonal (60″–120″ when using Auto Keystone) from a normal living-room distance.
For gaming, the Optoma PK32 offers input lag as low as 4.6ms at 1080p 240Hz (under 18.3ms at 4K 60Hz), which keeps fast-paced titles feeling responsive rather than laggy. It supports 360-degree operation and 24/7 continuous use, and carries an IP5X dust rating, so it can be mounted, tilted, or set on its side without restriction.
Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.0 inputs (HDMI2 with ARC/eARC support), a USB Type-C port with display and 5V/2A power output, a service USB-A port, and a 3.5mm audio output, alongside built-in dual 5W stereo speakers for when external audio isn’t set up. At 2.7 kg net, the PK32 is easy to move between rooms, and security features including a Kensington lock slot and password-protected interface help protect it while it’s out on display. Compared to Optoma’s own PK31, the PK32 steps up to brighter 2,000 HK Lumens output and adds Auto Focus for an even simpler setup.
